February is Black History Month!!

Each Month the Library selects a theme and locates resources about North Carolina history, culture, government, and natural resources relevant to that theme to assist our patrons.   This month we have selected Black History for the theme of the month.  Each page contains links to resources from the State Library, the Department of Cultural Resources, other NC state government agencies, NC academic institutions, and the federal government.   In addition to resource links, you’ll find suggested movies, music, and books on each of the themes on left-hand sidebar of each page. Suggestions come from staff working in all areas of the State Library, and are educational, as well as entertaining.
