March is Women’s History Month

This month’s theme is Women’s history.  From Virginia Dare, the first child born to English parents in America on the North Carolina coast; to Liberty and Plenty, the two women featured on the state seal; to Governor Bev Perdue, the first female governor of North Carolina, we recognize the vital place that women and their accomplishments have in our history.  To honor the actions of North Carolina Women, the State Library of North Carolina is celebrating their many contributions to the state of North Carolina.  The Library has compiled a list of resources on digital collections, general resources, places to go, individual women who have made an impact, and resources for children.
