New NC Urban Development online collection

The State Library would like to announce a newly launched collection of digitized urban development reports created throughout the 1960s that speak to future town planning and urban development of North Carolina counties, cities, neighborhoods, and lakes.  Many reports contain detailed maps of cities and their business districts.  Also common are demographic statistics, photographs, descriptions of local establishments, soil maps, neighborhood analyses, land use surveys, growth projections, and development suggestions.

Take a look at the Up & Out collection, available at http://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/digital/upandout/index.html.
