State Doc Pick of the Week: Piedmont Streams Fishing Guide of North Carolina

Piedmont Streams Fishing Guide of North Carolina

Piedmont Streams Fishing Guide of North Carolina

As noted in this informative publication of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, “stream fishing is a virtually untapped resource of angling opportunities that can provide anglers with many enjoyable hours of fishing”.  The Piedmont Streams Fishing Guide of North Carolina lists 63 public access points at streams across the Piedmont, with each rated for accessibility, the quality of the bank, ease of use of small boats and canoes, and even their aesthetic quality. Detailed directions to each are provided, too. The last page lists minimum trophy fish weight and length requirements. Throw this valuable state publication in your tackle box before you head out on Saturday morning! This publication can be found at http://digital.ncdcr.gov/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/p249901coll22&CISOPTR=18005&REC=9, where it can be downloaded and/or printed for free.
